Former Braswell standout Alisa Williams enters transfer portal from LSU

Williams saw limited action on the season in averaging just under three minutes per game during 20 appearances. The 6-foot-2 forward is the first player from the Tigers’ national title-winning team to enter the portal as they have brought in several big additions on the offseason, including Louisville transfer Hailey Van Lith.

Williams capped her high school career at Braswell by leading the program on its deepest playoff run in program history to the regional final round.

She earned the Denton Record-Chronicle‘s All-Area Girls Basketball Most Valuable Player award for her efforts after averaging 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game. Williams was the All-Area Offensive Player of the Year the season before, when she averaged 18.5 points and seven rebounds per game.

She also helped the Lady Bengals win their first-ever district championship as a sophomore.

Now, Williams will be on the hunt for a new home ahead of her second year in college.
