El Niño looking more likely

A return to an El Niño pattern is a near certainty, according to the Climate Prediction Center. The center says there’s a 90% chance that El Niño will take hold in the coming months and last into the winter. El Niño can have an impact on the Atlantic hurricane season by increasing wind shear, which could help limit the overall number of tropical systems this year. El Niño can also bring somewhat milder and wetter weather to North Texas for the winter. However, each El Niño has its own personality.
