One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries Tuesday after a pickup and an 18-wheeler collided on southbound Loop 288 near Sherman Drive.

Dispatch received a call regarding a crash at about 10 a.m. Denton police spokesperson Amy Cunningham said an 18-wheeler and a pickup collided, although she did not know the circumstances at the time.
