The trial of the former Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 fire chief is tentatively set for May 1 after he pleaded not guilty to 13 counts of stealing funds and making false statements.

Troy "Mac" Hohenberger is accused of using more than $490,000 in fire district funds to pay personal credit card bills.
